Personally, I do not have a problem with the idea that some individuals may have inherent homosexual desires. There is an element here that must be touched upon in this discussion. The notion of such a genetic predisposition is in the realm of possibility simply because mankind has a fallen nature that is bent toward evil. The Word of God clearly states that sin entered the human race at the Fall in the Garden. That single event corrupted the physiological, psychological, and spiritual makeup of mankind in ways that we don’t fully understand. (Genesis 3)

Consequently, living in a sin-cursed world with a fallen nature predisposes all of us to different types of temptation. There’s not a person alive who doesn’t have to overcome some inherent attraction to sin. The fact that some individuals have a propensity toward homosexual lust shouldn’t surprise us. Homosexual lust is a result—either directly or indirectly—of the Fall.
