In the middle of the night, we wake up the neighbors.

I am sore and tired by the time I make it to work. My co-worker has a later shift and has the luxury of sleeping in.

Tonight I want to be alone—to clear my thoughts—but I know I will cave in. My co-worker has now become my friend, and if she calls later, I will acquiesce, but I am starting to see how my contentment with being alone has begun to evolve into a fear of loneliness, an emotion which had been lying dormant before her arrival.
