Killian's grip on the shadow tightened as he demanded answers. "Who is this powerful player? What do they want with a female with balancing power across realms?"

"Her name ...is ..."

"Tell me!"

"Ahh, Ivy, yes, her name is Ivy ..." the shadow rasped, its form quivering in fear. "The master wants her for some ritual at the crossroad in the woods."

Worry knotted in Killian's stomach. He couldn't fathom what the mysterious master would want with Ivy, but he knew it couldn't be good. He needed to share this information with Ciaran and Nina, and quickly.

"Get out of my sight," Killian snarled, releasing the shadow from his grasp. It scurried away, disappearing into the shadows as if it had never existed. Killian turned his attention back to Ciaran and Nina, who were deeply engrossed in their work. He needed to get through to them – especially Ciaran, as he was the only one Killian could communicate with, albeit inconsistently.

"Focus," Killian whispered, concentrating on Ciaran's mind. "Ciaran, listen to me."

Ciaran paused, his hand hovering over a vial of dark purple liquid. His eyes narrowed, and Killian knew he had successfully gotten through to him.

"Killian?" Ciaran murmured under his breath, trying not to alert Nina to their conversation.

"Something's happening," Killian said urgently. "There's someone after Ivy. A powerful player hunting demons at the crossroad in the woods."

Ciaran's eyes widened, and he exchanged a worried glance with Nina. "What are they planning?"

"They're searching for a female with balancing power across realms. I think Ivy might be their target." Killian's voice shook with concern, and he felt a surge of protectiveness course through him.

"Shit," Ciaran muttered, his expression darkening. "We need to finish the antidote and get to Ivy as soon as possible."

"Wait, what's going on?" Nina asked, her brow furrowed in confusion.

"Killian's spirit is here," Ciaran explained tersely, his gaze never leaving Nina's. "He says there's a powerful force after Ivy, and we need to move quickly."

Nina nodded, "Let's finish the antidote."

As Ciaran and Nina resumed their work with renewed urgency, Killian couldn't help but feel helpless. He was a spirit, unable to directly aid in the creation of the antidote or protect Ivy from the imminent danger she faced.

All he could do was watch, and pray that they would succeed.

He couldn't do this. He couldn't wait. He needed to go to her.
