Ivy took in the vastness of the International Airport. The glaring electronic boards that glowed in the night illuminated the expanse of the airport and listed the different flight routes that crisscrossed the world. Despite the late hour, the airport was still bustling with activity; it was, after all, a hub of connecting flights from various places, so there were always travelers coming in and out of the tarmac.

Ivy arched an eyebrow at the Jinn, who had planted his feet firmly on the ground instead of hovering. "Are you positive you managed to block out human vision? Because I'm sure the last thing I'd need is the police barging in thinking I'm about to ignite a bomb."

Ameen smiled warmly. "Yes, Ivy. All the humans will see is you standing still, marveling at the sight of ..." He stole a glance at the large billboard in Ivy's line of vision and noticed that the model on the billboard was displaying revealing lingerie. He cleared his throat. "Perhaps you should turn your gaze to your left."

She followed his suggestion and beheld an advert for ice cream. She reached hands out, palms up. "Now, gimme the magic."

A blue light emanated from the Jinn's palms as he started to chant an ancient incantation. The light began to swirl around them, becoming faster and brighter with each phrase of the spell. A sudden barrage of searing sparks and a deafening thunderclap filled the air, as a beam of shimmering white light shot from the floor and cast dancing shadows on the walls.

The image of Snuggleworth and Ameen glowed brighter and brighter, almost as if they were burning into the corridor, until they disappeared into a changing landscape of ethereal smoke and fog. It was as if their path had been transformed into a portal to a magical realm, where their escape was certain.

Ivy was no longer at the airport, but in a tranquil, magical forest. It was an enchanting sight, though it couldn't possibly be real.

She looked up towards where she thought Snuggleworth should have been - but instead found herself looking into two passionate eyes aglow with joyous freedom! He happily bounded over to give his companion plenty of affectionate welcome licks – almost licking her clean off her feet!

She had finally broken the binding spell and freed the puppy from its cage.

In a crumpled heap, the Jinn's body lay motionless next to her. His yellow, weathered skin was now marred by wounds that bled a thick black fluid; a reminder of the pain he had endured, and the power of her healing magic.

“Sure thing, buddy. I’ve got this.” She knelt beside him and got to work. She wasn’t an expert in healing magic, but she’d done it a few times, she was confident she could save the Jinn. Concentrating, she summoned the healing spell.

In an instant, she felt the warmth return to his body. He stirred. His form dissolving into delicate wisps of smoke that rose from the ground. The smoke wasn't her magic, but the sign of the Jinn's healing.
