Chapter 23

“The ax and shield you now hold is from the Skull armory?” asked Durzum as he stared at the weapons.

“Thank you for letting me use them. I haven’t had a chance to put them back yet.”

“That won’t be necessary. You can keep them for now. You are a Raider. You need to look the part,” Durzum replied gruffly.

“Cool, I will make good use of them.”

“Knox will take you to the Raider wing of the Quarters. Drekor should be back from his quest by now. Tusk and Blade, my friend,” Durzum said as he slammed his right fist to the center of his chest.

“Tusk and Blade…” returned Necro nervously. He slammed his right fist to his chest. He assumed this was some sort Skull Guard, orc salute.

“Not bad. You will get better with time,” said Durzum as he stood up from the Bone Throne proudly.

“Is that big bad Necro giving a Tusk and Blade salute? Is my father treating you right?” asked Thiasha as she walked in from the side door.

Necro’s heart seemed to stop beating when he saw her walk into the throne room. Time slowed as she approached.

“If you call sending me to a deadly kobold outpost and getting speared in the leg ‘right,’ then yeah,” said Necro.

“Father! Shame on you! We don’t want to damage this muscled masterpiece,” Thiasha said as she punched her father in the arm.

“You have to excuse my daughter. She has no filter and loves to talk...too much.”

“Necro, follow me to the Raider wing,” said Knox.

“Let’s go,” Necro said as he gave a quick nod to Thiasha and Durzum.

"Awww, no. I guess I will see you later then," said Thiasha flirtatiously.

Necro was surprised at the lack of fear she had in her father's presence. She didn't hide her infatuation with him at all.
