When Kaelin brought up going to the cabin with Brandon and Jess, I was pretty certain he planned to propose up there. I hardly slept that night. I got up around six and texted Kaelin, telling him I was ready to leave whenever he was. The plan was to leave early in the morning, but it took him forever to text me back and even longer for him to give me the okay that I could go pick him up. I knew we’d been out late the night before, so maybe he was just sleeping in. I started to worry that the entire plan had fallen through since no one kept me updated.
