26th Session (1 August, 19..)
Here is the summary of the main images of this session.
After a few images of ascension which are not of particular interest, Alice is ‘in a plane of light made of an infinite amount of blue and silver particles.’ She leaves again from this plane ‘by an impulse from within herself’ and sees herself ascend in the form of ‘a luminous jet with the soothing appearance of water, although it is something different than water.’ She thus arrives at a vision of the Virgin and says, ‘There is no life in her except for her breast. The rest does not resemble any human form and is like a triangle that pervades everything except the breast. Her figure is admirable and expresses all her love for humanity. It seems to be accessible to me but as belonging to an infinitely superior plane.’
At this point I ask Alice a very important question: I ask if this image of the Virgin has a protective aspect. Alice replies, ‘She appears to embody the simple, human goal, the pinnacle of what I can achieve.’ When I ask Alice to focus on what she has just said, she adds, ‘I need to make room for my own potential before I think of giving to others.’
Alice is then inundated with the light emanating from this virgin and especially from her hands. I leave her in contemplation of this image until the intensity of her impressions diminishes and then I ask Alice to continue her ascent by letting herself be carried up in the wake of this virgin. Alice then sees three spheres of crystal, one of which has gigantic proportions. I ask her to penetrate it. Alice tells me, ‘I become transparent and I merge with the crystal.’ I ask Alice about the meaning of this image which she interprets as a symbol of the feelings that are pure enough to allow everyone to sense them and she adds, ‘In front of the others, I am first of all aware of my own difficulties, about which I try to tell them. Then, after this sentiment of indignity, I am surprised that others have so much confidence in me and it is in this confidence that I find strength.’
I then ask Alice to put to herself the question that she asked me in the previous session, ‘Where will my happiness be?’ Alice answers me, ‘It is in the gift of myself.’ Since she is in touch with this happiness at the moment I advise her to relish it.
The end of the session revolves around a consideration of the influence that Alice can exert on her children.

After this session Alice goes to the countryside. I will not see her again until three months later. One could consider her treatment completed at this point although she will return for sessions about once a month on average. These sessions will only be a re-activation of her sublimated tendencies and a means to control them. Her main inhibitions, anxieties, and ideas of suicide have disappeared.
