I counted down the hours until Sticker's moving date. After spending a good while in the Quarantine bay with little space and even less outside meadow to roam around in, he was finally being transported to the unicorn house. That meant big preparations were in order.

We waited tensely for the notification that the trailer had arrived at the quarantine. It took all our manpower to guide Sticker in and lock him up, ready for a trip to the other side of the sanctuary.

Since this was a rather precarious operation, we were doing it after opening hours.

Luckily, it was only a short drive for Sticker and we were ready to receive him at the stable. Nissan was just as giddy and excited as all three of us. We'd prepared a separate pen for him so we could safely introduce him to the rest of the herd and hopefully, they'd react well to him.

The sound of the trailer put us all in motion and just like we'd practised, we took to our tasks. Aaron was in control of the gates while Felicity was opening the pen. Nissan would make sure the trailer was positioned right and I'd help him guide out the unicorn. We all had to work together and coordinate or this would be a disaster.

"Little closer, little closer!" Nissan waved, guiding the driver in as he backed the trailer towards the stable. "Stop! That's perfect. Okay, Aaron, open the gates!"

Aaron strained as he slid the large doors open just enough that the trailer opening fit in. They were made in a way that they helped form a barrier for the animal so they couldn't escape to the outside.

On the other side of the stable, Felicity opened the gates to the pen. It was next to the one where the herd slept in so that they could communicate during the night and get used to each other's presence. A great place for Sticker.

"Alright, Charlotte, are you ready?" Nissan questioned from the other side of the trailer.

I nodded, reaching for the metal latch on my side. "Ready."

"Okay, slowly, please."

In unison, we pulled the latches back and lowered the ramp so Sticker could come out. I worried he'd be reluctant like last time but the unicorn strutted out without any hesitance. Slowly but confidently, he walked down the ramp and paused just outside of the trailer. He looked around, taking in his new surroundings.

"It's okay," Nissan said, stepping away from the trailer and grabbed the target stick with the red ball. "This way, big boy."

Sticker gave him a long look and set in motion, moseying over to his new pen. His muscles moved visibly under his silver coat and his ribs were barely visible anymore. A Wave of pride washed over me knowing he was so much healthier than when he arrived here. He looked so much better and he was also a lot less skittish and nervous.

Nissan held out the target stick with the red ball. "Over here. That's it. Over here."
