Chapter Twenty-Three
âAs we all know Blake is the main component in this scenario, one Iâm sure he never wanted to be part of. He and Jillian had been dating for almost a year. I always thought she was more invested in the relationship than he was. I think what made him finally break up with her was her jealousy and short temper. I mean who wants to be around that type of person day in and day out?
Blake wanted out of their toxic relationship, so he broke it off with Jillian. He wanted to be with someone who had a kind and positive manner about her. One day he decided to go to The Cozy Café owned by Tabitha. They began to strike up a friendship which eventually resulting in them becoming a couple.
Tabitha did not run in the same circles as Jillian so was unprepared for the hatred directed at her. Blake made it clear to Jillian that her treatment towards Tabitha was cruel and unwarranted. He told Jillian he could never date a woman that showed such hatred to others. Unfortunately, the damage had been done. Tabitha left Blake,â Delilah told the group.
âSo, Jillian ended up winning? How sad,â Daisy replied.
âWhat about Blakeâs friend Tyler? What did he think about all of this?â Deputy Sheila inquired.
âHe told Blake he was right to leave Jillian. Tyler would head Jillian off at the door of The Rockin Horse when she tried to go there to talk to Blake.
When Blake started dating Tabitha, Tyler was happy for his friend. Blake was back to his positive self. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, Jillian put an end to their relationship. Tyler went into Blissfully Baked and had it out with Jillian in a store full of customers. He told her what he thought of her and the fact that she upset his friend was unforgiveable,â Delilah stated.
âHow did Jillian respond?â Rory asked.
âShe got right up in his face and started screaming back. Her mother had to drag her into the back room while one of the gentlemen customers escorted Tyler out the door. That argument was all everyone in town could talk about for weeks.
Time passed and Tabitha met Marc who she began to date,â
âHow did that make Blake feel?â Detective Reinfeld inquired
âHe understood that Tabitha should be allowed to find happiness especially after all that she had been put through. It ended up that when Tabitha and Marc first visited The Rockin Horse as a couple, Blake and Marc discovered they had a lot of similar hobbies. From then on, whenever Tabitha and Marc visited The Rockin Horse, which was a lot, Tabitha ended up waiting at least forty minutes before she and Marc could sit because the two guys would talk so much,â Delilah continued.
âIt sounds like Blake took Tabitha coming to the pub well. An ex and current boyfriend do not usually get along,â Daisy pointed out.
âThat is usually the case, but Blake is a great guy. He only wanted Tabitha to be happy even if it was not with him.
