The little sparrow looked in all directions.

He noticed a comfy sofa

and a chair. He also saw a window,

but, alas, it was shut.

He could see his tree in the distance.

He wondered how he could

get out of the house.

Before long, there was a

knock at the door

and somebody opened it wide.

This was the little sparrow’s chance. In

one fell swoop,

he flew out of the fireplace

and into the air,

up high, into the sunny sky.

He looked down at his tree.

The little sparrow had learnt

from his mistake,

and wouldn’t repeat it.
