Chapter 11

Lexi

I was surprised that I had kissed Drax's cheek and even more surprised that he had kissed me back. I stared at the Kraken, trying to remember why I had found him so scary.

How had I not seen how sweet this giant was?

His tentacle was still lightly wrapped around my wrist and my cheek tingled from his kiss. I was disappointed that his lips had landed on my cheek and not an inch to the left.

Had I really wanted him to kiss me on the lips?

My eyes roved over Drax's hard muscles and up to his strikingly handsome face. Everything about him screamed sex. Even the soft skin of his tentacles was alluring, and their sucking was giving my overheated brain some wild ideas. My mind fell even further in the gutter as I wondered if Drax had a penis. If he did, it was very well hidden.

I had learned the true meaning of boredom over the past few weeks. Lydia was my only form of entertainment in this place, but she normally only spent the mornings with me. She had other things to do with Mac and I knew that she spent evenings with Amanda. That left a lot of time for me to try to fill. I had gotten pretty good at balancing Nutrient-O's on various parts of my body.

It felt like I had been given a new toy to play with.

Drax was standing there, staring at me with fire in his eyes. Now that I had an at least semi-willing partner, I knew a few things that could really help pass the time.

I started to rise on my tiptoes again, intent to really thank him for his gift. My stomach had other ideas though. It growled loudly, screaming for some sustenance.

Geez, way to kill the mood. I grabbed my stomach as I could feel my cheeks start to heat.

Drax leaned down again, staring at my cheeks as they changed color. As he studied them, his cheeks started to change color too. His cheeks turned from gray to bright red, like actual tomato red. Was there something wrong with him?

But then I remembered Drax's camouflage. He was trying to mimic me!

I giggled as my stomach growled again. That finally got his attention, and his cheeks turned back to their normal gray.

" An pa ag ololmekag mekaw agmek ekklaher, a'a eh Lexi," Drax pointed at the big fish lying on the ground as he spoke.

"Yeah, yeah I know I haven't eaten yet. I was a little too distracted by your beautiful art to remember to eat."

Drax just stared at me.

"You don't have to look at me like that. I get it, this probably sounds like gibberish to you. Well, your words don't mean anything to me either."

"Ag dah ol raol a'a e-a raahxaw paaw erolan pa a'a ag," Drax replied. He started to look a little annoyed as he pointed towards the fish.

The language barrier was going to be a serious problem.

He pointed at it again, so I pointed at it too.
