Obviously you don’t want to wait 45 seconds every time you ask your dog to do something. To get quick responses, professional trainers shape a dog’s behavior to a zero-second latency. This means your dog will do whatever you’re asking immediately. In the course of training, sometimes your dog doesn’t do what you ask quite as quickly as before.
