CHAPTER 18

Savannah

It took me all of eighteen hours to think about it, then I accepted Gavin’s offer. I gladly called Eric and gave him my notice… effective immediately. I also called the two women whose houses I cleaned in addition to Gavin’s and told them I had to quit because I was accepting a full-time job. They were sad to see me go, but mollified when I recommended a good cleaning service that Casey had told me about.

When I wake up for my first day on the job as his assistant, Gavin’s breath is hot on the back of my neck and his hand is working between my legs, two fingers deep.

“About time you woke up, love,” he murmurs, and then kisses me on the side of my neck. “I thought we’d start our first workday together right.”

“I insist we start every workday this way,” I pant as he strokes me in just the right way.

“And weekends?” he teases as his index finger circles my clit and causes my back to arch away from him.

“And weekends,” I agree as I feel my impending orgasm start to crash through me.

Abruptly, Gavin’s hand is gone, and I am thrown violently backward from the precipice of pleasure. “Why’d you stop?” I practically shriek.

Rolling from the bed, Gavin gives a soft chuckle and makes his way over to the dresser. “I have something in mind.”

I lift my head and shoulders from the bed, propped on my elbows, and watch his amazingly sculpted ass and chiseled shoulders as he rummages through one of his drawers. When he turns to face me, he has a silk tie in his hands, pale yellow with light blue stripes running diagonally across it. I watch, mesmerized, as he walks back toward the bed, winding the very ends around each of his hands until there’s only about half a foot left in between. He gives a snap outward, drawing the material taut.

“Wanna play?” he asks me deviously.

I swallow past the immediate dryness he’s caused in my throat and nod my head, even as a small twist of fear snakes up my spine. I’ve never been tied up before, and it’s clear the intent deep within his gray eyes.

“Come here,” he commands me, and I don’t hesitate before throwing the covers off and rolling out of bed. His eyes run up and down my body appreciatively as I walk toward him, and Gavin never fails to make me feel anything less than the most beautiful creature in the world when I’m in his presence.

When I stop just a foot away, he tells me, “Turn around. Put your hands behind your back.”

I do as he asks, trying to control the trembling of my body. Gavin bends over and places a soft kiss on my shoulder.

“I won’t hurt you, Sweet,” he tells me gently. “Not unless you beg me to.”

I groan at the thought of all the ways in which I may beg him to make it hurt. Images of his open palm smacking my ass pour through my mind, and I can feel desire building between my legs.
