I gave him a fake mean look and walked over to Bryce. He was asleep on the loveseat. His head was resting at an awkward angle on the armrest, and his legs were hanging over the other armrest. There was no way he was comfortable. I knelt down and brought my face close to his. I whispered softly into his ear to wake up while I stroked his hair. His eyes didn’t open, but he nuzzled his face into mine. I lightly kissed his cheek and then his lips. “It’s time to wake up, Bryce. Harrison has breakfast waiting, and Nic and his guys will be here soon.” I continued to stroke his hair and kiss up his jaw to his ear. He turned his head toward me and kissed me.
