10.9 SPSS in Focus: One-Way Between-Subjects ANOVA

SPSS can be used to compute the one-way between-subjects ANOVA. Using the One-Way ANOVA command, select the Analyze, Compare Means, and One-Way ANOVA options in the menu bar.

10.10 Measuring the Dependent Variable

Three types of measures tend to be the most commonly used in experimentation: self-report measures (response scale items regarding a participant’s actual or perceived experiences, attitudes, or opinions are recorded), behavioral measures (the actual behavior of participants is recorded), and physiological measures (the physical responses of the brain or body are recorded).
