Legend Tripping
Although it is plausible to visit Dungeon Rock relatively quickly, it would be a shame not to spend the entire day in Lynn Woods. There are miles of trails and sites to explore throughout the 2,200-acre park. It is overseen by the city of Lynn (https://www.lynnma.gov/departments/lynnwoods.shtml#gpm1_1). For those who wish to visit Dungeon Rock, it is best to inquire ahead whether the tunnel is open. There is an entrance to Lynn Woods on Great Woods Road, but the closest parking to Dungeon Rock is on Pennybrook Road. Parking is free. Trailhead GPS: N42 28.37 / W7059.11
As of this writing the city posts a map that is not particularly user-friendly but serviceable at http://www.lynnma.gov/cityhall_documents/maps/misc_maps/Lynn_Woods_2020.pdf.
The old website for the Friends of Lynn Woods also posted a map, but the new website (http://www.lynnwoods.org/) currently does not yet do so. Physical maps are available at the trailhead parking lot. The Essex National Heritage Area website provides a helpful overview at https://essexheritage.org/attractions/lynn-woods.
