Chapter Eighteen
Guy- Thanksgiving
âI canât get this fucking tie,â Dez growls. Heâs been running hot all day, pissed at the world for everything. He wants to run, but Iâm proud of him for fighting the urge thus far. âThis is such bullshit!â
âDezmond,â I coo, attempting to be soothing as I fix the tie for him. âCome on. Isnât it a little funny that I know how to do this, and you donât?â
âNo. This thing is stupid. It shouldnât even exist. Why would it be funny?â
It takes all my effort not to smile at his frustration. Itâs amusing to me. âNever mind. Youâre all fixed up now. I know you donât really want to go now, but remember why you agreed. Take a deep breath with me.â I inhale deeply, coaching him to follow along with me, and he does.
We blow out the breath together and he nods. âI need to make peace with my family, because I want to plant my roots here.â
Thatâs the first time Iâve actually heard those words from him. âReally?â
âYes. My plan was always to come back here, to you, and Iâm tired of fucking around. Iâm going to make it work this time. Whatever I have to do to get through this, Iâm going to do it. But that doesnât mean Iâm always going to be happy about every step. I have so much work to do to get where I need to be, and Iâm tired of doing all the work. Without getting to reap the rewards.â
âOh? No reward?â I wrap his tie around my knuckles and yank him closer to me until our mouths are barely an inch apart. âI remember there being a few rewards.â
The stress in his body shifts into a different kind of tension, making his shoulders soften and his breaths get shallower. âThat wasnât-â
âShhh, baby. You just need to listen now.â I know he needs a good release to be able to survive this family dinner. Iâve never spent time around his dad with us as a couple, and Iâm a little nervous myself. Iâm unsure how to handle the situation, but Iâm sure weâll figure it out once we get a little relief. âSee how fun a tie can be?â I tug on it again, pulling him closer once more. âWith you all dressed up like this, my imagination is running wild.â
âWhat do you see?â he whispers, submitting to the seduction.
âYour assâ¦â My hands roam down his back until I get handfuls of his ass cheeks. âYou- bent over anything I can find. Every horizontal surface in this house and outside it. I can so perfectly remember the way you looked at me in that bathroom at your brotherâs wedding, staring up at me for salvation while I made you wait to come.â
Dez groans, breaking out of the trance slightly. He hates being edged, but he knows the result is worth it. Any time Iâve asked if he regrets the delay, he says no.
âDonât worry, baby. We donât have time to wait tonight.
