Blake, true to his announcement the previous night, had taken the Grey Panther and left certain instructions with Tinker and his American colleague before proceeding on some mysterious errand of his own.
Splash Page looked up from the blotting pad on which he had been scribbling. He found that it clarified his thoughts to tentatively jot down the headlines of any case on which he was engaged, and he glanced with approval at his effort that morning.
