A couple of blocks from the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac hotel, Sancho paced back and forth in the second floor of the apartment overlooking Old Quebec. The RCMP had been waiting for him at the train station, which meant that someone was closing in on him. But how? He had been extremely careful, cutting off the beard he had grown for the past year and transforming himself from a street person into a tragically hip hipster. He glanced about the apartment where he had spent most of the previous year, before heading out to Basque Country. Although he had told those people he could do his work from anywhere in the world, they had been overly cautious and wanted to meet him in person. Strange, but true. Those same people who wanted to use technology to propel their cause on the world stage, were too paranoid to meet him virtually. But Sancho understood that sentiment, since he knew that there was really no way to completely hide from the world anymore. One could only hold back the marauding hordes so long from the gates before they would all sink into the infernal River Styx. Eventually they were all destined for Hades.

Now, Sancho had no choice. He wandered into his old bedroom and opened the closet door. Finally, he found a reason to smile. Time to pack his bag and move on. But first he needed to meet up with a guy and develop a couple of new identities. That could take a day or so.
