What if he isn’t happy about Soph and me completing the mate bond? I really, really hope he is okay with this; I don’t know what we will do if he isn’t.

Ryan, Aurora, Kai, and Jax got up and congratulated us. I can see in Jackson’s eyes he is envious that Soph and I have completed our bond when he was yet to do the same with Aurora. Nico is glowering at us from his seat, and Lucian was yet to say a word.

“A-are you okay with this?” Soph asked Lucian. He didn’t reply straight away but the look on his face changed from shock to….awe.

“I never thought I would ever find out about my parents, let alone meet them. Finding you two and then knowing the situation, I never thought you would be together. The time in New York we spent together, I started to hope that maybe we could one day be a family. Finding this news out, it fills me with so much happiness. I know we all have a long way to go—we still have a lot to learn about each other—but I’m willing to try if you two are?”

I look to Soph and see tears glistening in her eyes. I admit, I even feel choked up a bit. Sophia jumped to her feet and raced around to Lucian to hug him. Not one to be left out, I did the same. It was so surreal to be standing here in this moment, holding my mate and my son. This right here in my arms is my fucking life, my world, my everything.
