I deposit my new fledgling in a separate closet on the other side of my manor from where my thrall is. I donât need her killing him when she eventually wakes up starving for blood. Sheâll be ravenous for a while, as all new vampires are, so preparations are a must. Thankfully the low zone is crawling with blood bags, and that doesnât appear to be stopping anytime soon, since we took all forms of birth control away when we took over.
We need them breeding with one another as often as possible. All thralls are forced to breed with other thralls too so that hopefully thereâs never a shortage of humans in Stonerun. Seeing as weâre all trapped here together, we vampires need to ensure our food source continues to exist for as long as we do.
The six mortals standing silent and still behind me will be perfect for her first meal as an awakened fledgling, since all are males past prime breeding age. Iâd say theyâre in their thirties to forties, but itâs not like age really matters for males of their species. Besides, itâs the females we try our best to secure, since theyâre the ones who carry the babies and feed them, and all that shit.
Males provide the sperm, and thatâs it. We donât need many males for that, since females are only eligible for breeding and successful conception twice a year, and even that's rare. Most females donât get pregnant again so soon after they give birth, or so Iâve heard. Itâs not like I pay all that much attention to humans and their biology; thatâs more my fatherâs thing, since heâs in charge of Stonerun. Itâs his job to ensure his crops are multiplying.
All I care about is feeding, so itâs always best I stick to hunting males down in low zone rather than females. This way I donât have Father on me, nagging about reducing our livestockâs population.
Anyway, my six new thralls wait for my command like the good little servants they are. âInside,â I tell them. âNow. And stay utterly silent. Not a peep even when my little fledgling wakes and drains you dry.â
They pale, eyes widening in horror, and I canât help but chuckle. They know what's about to happen, and their fear-stained faces are so incredibly satisfying. The stench of their terror is heady, and fuck, it makes my dick twitch.
My thralls shuffle into the dark closet where my fledgling lies dead, her body working on turning her as I speak. They push against the wall as far as they can go, though it doesnât mean anything. Sheâll wake and kill them all regardless of how far into the wall they meld.
I donât plan to keep these thralls, so their deaths mean nothing. Turning them was just a means to an end to get them here without a fight, while my main focus was on getting my fledgling home. Theyâre not special enough, their blood simply bland and not worth my time, unlike the male on the other end of the manor that Iâll be keeping.
