Chapter 7

Glad to have all the three of her friends gone, Lanie started to think over her game plan for the night. With no real plan in place, her emotions went from excitement to worry. The thought of him being evil and wanting to attack her for his pleasure crossed her mind. Wondering what she was getting herself into, Lanie headed off to the bedroom to find an outfit for getting Markus to meet up with her. Opening her huge closet door, she just stood in the doorway and stared. Not knowing what to wear she decided to hop in the shower first and then maybe an idea would cross her mind.

The bathroom still had the rose petals on the floor, and Lanie made a mental note to clean it up once she returned home. As she felt the soft touch of the petals, the image of Reagan and the bubble bath flashed into her mind. His hands caressed her body, and his kisses had been so full of passion she yearned for more. As the memories of the romantic bubble bath kept playing in her mind, her temperature rose and the heat between her legs caused a feeling of dampness. Just before she got to the point of no return, the memory of her waking up to a note ceased all indications of lust from within.

Reagan, a tattooed bad boy with a seemingly romantic heart, waltzed right out the door without even waking her up. Men like that infuriated Lanie. Changing thoughts within her mind, she focused on the way Markus had rescued her from the dangerous situation hours before Reagan had teased her with a romantic bubble bath. Her head said one thing, but her heart remained confused. Lanie told herself over and over the upcoming meeting with Markus was strictly business.

Her mind wandered to what it would be like to touch Markus’s abs. Lanie wondered if he got rough with his partners during sex. That thought alone caused the heat to arise once again in between her thighs. Opening her eyes, she broke the mental images of what could be and started to undress. She walked over to the shower and turned it on. Many ideas and images flashed into her brain while she showered. As she finished up, she noticed the time and shook her head at how long she had been daydreaming.

In a quick rush, she sprinted to the closet, took out a dark pair of jeans, and searched frantically for a shirt. The silk blouse hanging in front caught her attention, but this was not a mission to get him into bed so she pushed it to the side. A blue V-neck t-shirt caught her attention. She yanked it off the hanger and tossed it onto the bed. Dropping the towel from her waist, she found a matching bra and thong set matching up to the color in the shirt. Hurrying up, she threw on the clothes and found her black, leather jacket to top off the outfit.
