46 The Chairman of the Board, and Our Probable Relative Importance

It will be helpful to our overall Big Picture understanding if we can frame a more accurate and humble perspective about the nature of our reality and our place in it. Some, who for their own reasons, have not found a satisfying bigger picture within a traditional philosophy or religion, often posit an unknowable something such as “The Mind of God” (MOG), as Stephen Hawking refers to the term at the end of his book, A Brief History of Time. Even something that is as expansive, open, and mystical as the Mind of God usually represents only a little picture view of AUM because it is derived from the diminutive little picture perspective of god the creator and animator of our physical universe.

Let's review how our universe relates to the larger reality. In Chapter 33, Book 1, we pointed out that our universe occupies only a minuscule sliver of the available physical reality-space within our own space-time dimension. Likewise, we will see in Chapters 3, 9, and 10 of Book 3, that our local reality represents just one branch of many divergent probable realities. Recall there are many independent PMR-like realities that exist within NPMRN, which is itself only one of several more or less independent reality systems (one of the NPMRn). The point is: Our favorite PMR universe is not exactly at the core of the larger reality. In fact, its overall relative significance would appear to be almost infinitesimal when compared to the sheer bulk of All That Is.

AUM is thus chairman of the board and Chief Executive Officer of MOG Corp., as well as the entire evolutionary experiment itself (substance, results, conclusions, and open ended possibilities — all combined, and all at the same time). Continuing with this decidedly funky but business-like metaphor, the Big Cheese is the division manager of “N” division, dedicated to a specific subset of evolutionary development models containing many PMRs. Progressing on down the chain of command, one eventually gets to a few assistants and their helpers who are concerned with our beloved OS and its inhabitants. Our physical universe is a subset of OS.

Given that one or more of these low-level assistants directly concerned with the administration of OS applies for the job of “God of PMR,” then AUM would be the Mind of the God of god's god. Yes, I am just having some fun, but you get the point.

If the Big Cheese's division is especially profitable, perhaps he will be promoted to junior vice president one day and be awarded a private space in which to park his mind, stock options, omniscience without looking, and a grand vacation where he can get away, you know, go out of his mind for a few weeks. What are you in this goofy analogy? You, my friends, are the rank and file peons who appear (from your point of view) to do all the work and receive none of the credit, just as in real life.
