Wool is hair, and it burns the way hair and silk should. It also smells like burning hair and silk. Can’t miss that smell!

Buyer beware! This material was sold as genuine suede leather, but it burns unmistakably like a synthetic polymer. It is utterly fake, made probably of some kind of polyurethane plastic.

The flaming balls dropping from this burning “suede” are a dead giveaway: it is synthetic.

Real leather strap looks surprisingly similar to the fake stuff but is considerably stronger and difficult to burn at all.
