Chapter Fourteen
Everything appears to be really dark. I can’t seem to see anything. I start to see something from the corner of my eye, and it becomes more visible. It looks like a purple cloud of smoke. I begin to run as fast as I can from the cloud of smoke as it starts to materialize and form. I can’t bring myself to move fast enough, it’s almost as if I am running in high wasted water or mud. I just keep trudging forward and I look back to see if I may have gotten away from it. In fact, I haven’t, it’s gotten unmistakably closer and really big. I don’t see any way of out this. There’s no other alternative other than to let it take me. So I stop running and I let it consume me.
All of sudden I’m floating in darkness’ gravity. Then I start seeing what looked like pixels of light and then out of nowhere I am standing on my own two feet again. I look at the ground and it feels and looks like it’s made of glass with purple smoke clouds trapped inside. I am startled by this because for a second I thought I would fall through it. I stumbled back, lost my footing and fell backward. When I fell back I got a better view of where I was or where I wasn’t. The sky is made of purple clouds of smoke.
I don’t know why but I decide to look at my hands and I can see right through them. My hands are ghostly purple like everything else. Then out of nowhere I see lightning strike through my hand and then loud thunder. I got up immediately off the ground and start running in the opposite direction. I got to get the hell out of this awful nightmare. There’s no other way to describe this nonsense.
So I just keep running and it’s getting me nowhere. I decide to stop and look at my surroundings. The same stuff for miles and miles all around me. I fall to the ground in defeat and I cup my face in my hands. I was ready to plant the white flag of surrender and let this be my demise and entombment.
I lifted my face from my hands and looked up and saw my neighborhood but only it was in complete and utter ruin. My jaw dropped in awe at the devastation. I got up off the ground and started to walk down the street to find my house. I look back to see if anything or anyone is around and then I see the giant tree that’s on the side of my house. I was beyond confused. I was down the street from my house a minute ago walking towards it and now it’s right there behind me. I turn around and walk towards the tree.
As I walk toward the tree it becomes bigger and bigger as I get closer and closer. Not only does it become gargantuan but it starts transforming.
