Chapter 27

The Cavalry

The first lizard warrior to reach the edge of the arena and climb into the stands received a throwing axe in the head, knocking it back onto the arena floor. As did the second.

There were too many, though, and the dozen axes Jeremiah possessed were quickly used up.

He was running low on Mana, but there was no reason to save any for later—because there might not be a later.

A Dualcast-enhanced Fire Breath spell washed over half a dozen lizard warriors who had climbed into the stands and were clambering toward the throne platform.

Jeremiah followed up with one of his very first spells, one that didn’t use much Mana and didn’t have a cooldown.

Spell: Basic Fireball

Type: Fire Magic

Requirement: Basic Magic Skill, Expert Level

Effect:

Causes a moderate amount of damage to primary target
