It was obvious the list was balanced between Majuri and human, but of the humans, only Arnella and Daniel had questionable loyalty. Bo Mac was a good guy and well thought of. Junior and Calden sparred with the guy regularly and he was good. His friend, Justin, wasn’t as well known, but he hung around once in a while. Lennon was also well thought of and while Junior hadn’t realized he was into physics, he knew he worked with Talai on some of her projects and Radvar had cleared the guy to work where he wanted too. In turn, that made the guy loyal as hell.

Junior just hoped Radvar had foreseen all the less positive possibilities. He didn’t like Daniel and he didn’t think Radvar did either. The man was a snake in the grass. It was possible that he was a good biologist, if he chose to be. The problem was, he never seemed to do his work. It looked like Talai would be doing double duty why the scumbag did nothing.

She was a hard worker and she might not mind, but Junior minded for her. Arnella was a wild card. The woman had gotten involved with a Majuri warrior recently and they’d been inseparable. The rumor was they were mates. It was unlikely she’d throw in with any scheme Daniel had now.

If Junior could get Arnella and Calden alone, maybe his second could ferret out the scheme. If Daniel had put her up to what she’d done, he was as good as back on Earth with the next trading trip. Arnella had best look out for herself and be honest or she would be with him.

“Let’s relieve the bridge crew.” Junior suggested and he and Calden made their way to the front of the ship.

Only three of the crew were there and he sent a questioning look to Corman. “Bo Mac went to get us all a drink. I didn’t order him to, he volunteered.” Junior nodded. Breaks were acceptable.

He looked around and saw Lennon was monitoring the long range sensors. Malry was on navigation. It looked like everything was going fine. His crew would start wandering in anytime. Justin and Ronis would take the places of the males here. As the only untrained one, Justin would be given the easiest position. Right now that was long range sensors. By this time tomorrow, they would be staring down at the surface of Ice.

That was when things would get real. They would land on the planet, this ship was made for that. Calden was a grade A pilot and he would be doing the landing. Junior would watch and hopefully learn a thing or two. The shift went off without a problem and soon Calden and he were sitting in the dining area and eating the latest meal in the crockpot. Junior thought it tasted just like chicken and dumplings. Calden just poured Majuri hot sauce on it so he probably couldn’t taste it anyway.

“This is amazing. If Talai fixed this, she’s good.
