We all feasted, drank, and danced our hearts out. Every time I laid eyes on Cora, I found her laughing. She was the only child here, and everyone seemed to take the opportunity to dance with her, and she loved that. As evening grew near, the poor dear was exhausted. Pa and Estelle asked if we would mind if she stayed with them for a few days. We were fine with that, so they left to pack her some clothes and to head on home.
My skin was hot from dancing as I made my way back to the table to drink some of my wine. After I had drunk half of the goblet, it was abruptly ripped from my hand. I spun around to find Dogan downing the rest of the contents. âI beg your pardon?â I asked as I placed my hands on my hips.
Dogan took a step forward, so I was sandwiched between him and the table. Placing the empty goblet down, he gazed at me with eyes full of need. My body instantly responded to the need I felt growing inside him. âI think it's time we leave this party, wife.â he said in a husky voice.
âIs that so, husband?â I asked quietly.
With amazing swiftness, the man had me up and cradled in his arms. I screamed in laughter as he turned to make his way through the hall. When some people asked where we were going, he yelled, âThank ye, everyone, fer coming. Ye all are more than welcome to continue partying, but it's time fer my wife and I to go to bed.â
I quickly buried my face into Dogan's neck to hide the embarrassment as the men roared and cheered for Dogan. He was laughing beautifully as we finally walked out of the Great Hall. âYou just had to announce it to everyone that we were leaving,â I mumbled into his neck.
âAye,â he replied with amusement. âYe can lift yer head now. No one can see yer flushed cheeks.â
When I lifted my head, he was just reaching the steps that would lead up to our rooms. I smacked him in the chest as he smiled at me. âBastard,â I mumbled, and he laughed.
As he walked us down the lightly lit corridor, he asked, âWe haâ the next two days off without havinâ to worry about Cora. Dâye haâ any ideas oâ what we should do?â
âOh, I have some ideas.â I brought my mouth to his ear, where I teased him while lightly biting. He let out a deep moan as his grip around me tightened, which made me giggle.
Before I knew it, we were walking into my room, where he lightly placed me back on my feet. Instantly I kicked off my shoes and lit the lamp beside my bed as Dogan locked my door. Once I managed to light it, I froze when my husband was suddenly behind me. He moved my long hair to the right as he pressed his lips to the left side of my neck and shoulder.
