DOPE

You toke and then talk to me but as you talk your toke is saying Me, Me, Me, is fixing me to your

I, I, I,

so that we’re really not listening to each other, really not receiving each other’s words but rather taking place before one another as images.

And because that Me, Me, Me is rooted in the pain that made you toke in the first place, the pain that’s in us all in this hell of a hearse of euphoria called the U.S.A., which keeps us in a playpen flinging our things every-which-way, eating our shit, banging our toys against the bars, crying Me, Me, Me, it’s important to know: dope IS that shit and you only contribute to nothing when you’re on it, and nothing’s so utterly boring, get off it

and see for yourself what the world is like without you.
