Fly the Period Star (always) in a positive direction, using the sequence Center, NW, W, NE, S, N, SW, E, SE. In other words, put in the remaining numbers (i.e., if 7 was the Period number at the center, put 8 in NW, then 9 in W, then 1 in NE, and so on). Determine the Facing and Sitting directions:

Mark the Facing direction on the chart. Take the number in the box of the Facing direction. This is the Facing Star. Put this number in the Center square, above and to the right of the central Period Star.
