1 Prepare Primaries

On a clean palette, mix a bit of Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Lemon Yellow and Permanent Red with water, each in a separate well.

2 Mix Secondary Colors

Using a dropper, mix each of the primaries with another primary to obtain the three secondary colors. You’ll now have six colors: blue, green, yellow, orange, red and violet.

3 Mix Tertiary Colors

Mix each color with its neighbor to get the six remaining colors. (I used a second six-well palette for the tertiary colors.)
