As they approached the car, Ria turned to Mark. “Mind if I drive?”

“Sure,” he replied, handing her the keys.

Ria slid into the driver’s seat, Mark took shotgun, and Lida settled in the back.

“Do you know the way to the restaurant or should I enter the address in the car’s GPS?”

“Please do,” Ria said, starting the car.

Mark took the phone and quickly entered the address into the car’s GPS. She then started the car, backing out of the driveway and heading towards the restaurant.

“So, Ria, how are you enjoying your stay here so far?” Lida asked, looking at Ria through the rearview mirror.

Ria smiled at Lida. “I’m really enjoying it,” she replied. “You two have been such a wonderful host, and I feel so welcome here.”

“We’re glad to have you,” Lida replied and shifted the conversation to Ria’s studies.

“So Ria, Mark tells me you’re studying computer graphics. That’s quite interesting. How do you like it?”

Ria’s face lit up with excitement. “Oh, I love it! It’s amazing how much you can create and manipulate with just a few clicks.”

“What drew you to it?”

“I don’t know” she said “I’ve always been fascinated by art and technology. And CG is the perfect combination of both.”

“That’s wonderful,” Lida said. “I’m sure you’ll do great things in your career.”

“Thank you, Lida. That means a lot to me.”

As Ria took a turn, Mark playfully grabbed onto the dashboard. “Hey, watch the curves.”

“Forgot you get carsick,” Ria shot back, chuckling.

“You two are adorable,” Lida commented.

“Don’t get sappy, Aunt.”

“Oh, too macho for sentiment?” Lida retorted, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Ria nudged Mark. “I think he secretly enjoys it.”

Lida joined in. “You know, Mark, you’re lucky to have such a beautiful and intelligent girlfriend.”

Ria took another turn. “Yes, Mark, count your blessings.”

“Looking at your driving skills, I need to be careful.”

“Hey! It is not my mistake if you can’t handle my superior driving.”

Lida chuckled. “Oh dear, I hope I don’t need a seatbelt back here,” she said, playfully holding onto the back of Mark’s seat.

Mark rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help but laugh. “Okay, okay. I get it. I’m the weak link in this car.”

Ria and Lida exchanged mischievous glances through mirror. “Don’t worry, Mark,” Ria said with a grin. “We’ll teach you how to drive like a pro.”

Lida nodded in agreement. “And we’ll start with the basics,” she said, winking at Ria. “Like how to not scream like a little girl on every turn.”

Mark groaned, knowing he was outnumbered. “Great, I see how this is going to be,” he said, shaking his head in mock defeat. “I’m in for a long ride, aren’t I?”

They arrived at the restaurant, the aroma of coffee and breakfast foods wafting through the air.

The buffet was overflowing with a wide variety of tasty treats, from fluffy pancakes and waffles to crispy bacon and sausages. The hot station offered eggs cooked to order, with the option of adding toppings like cheese, mushrooms, and peppers.

There was also a selection of freshly baked pastries, including flaky croissants, muffins, and Danish pastries, as well as a healthy selection of fruits, yogurt, and granola.
