1. Double load Burnt Umber and Wicker White on a no. 12 flat and draw in the main trunk and the largest branches first. Then paint the smaller branches with curving lines.

2. Double load a no. 8 flat with Magenta and Wicker White and begin tapping on the cherry blossoms using very light pressure on the chisel edge.

3. To paint the detailed close-up of the cherry blossoms, begin with twigs of Burnt Umber and Wicker White, then add a few leaves of Thicket and Yellow Citron.
