Conclusion
W e live in a world where almost everyone we interact with has some form of agenda that theyâll like us to buy into. While some of these agendas are open and good, others are very secret and do not serve our best interest. However, the real threat is not the hidden agenda but the subtle ways in which unsuspecting individuals are influenced into executing these agendas.
From sales to politics and right down to our family members, several manipulation tactics have been deployed to get us to act in ways that are against our better judgments. In more ways than one, we have been tricked, used, and dumped.
Nevertheless, the reign of manipulative people in our personal and professional lives is over! With the methods outlined in this book, I dare say you can live a happy and fulfilled life without the fear of being a victim of mind control. Most of us are going to assume that we would never be comfortable causing some harm to those around us. We worry that we are going to be cast out from society, or that something else would happen to us. Often, just the worry about feeling remorse and guilty in the process is going to be enough to keep most people away from using dark psychology and some of the other techniques.
We may not be able to completely rid ourselves of the negative influence people have on our minds, emotions, and behaviors, but we definitely can gain a good level of control over what others try to craftily influence us to think, feel, say, and do. The goal of this book is, among other things, to help you gain that level of control and protect your mind from devious schemes. The result is a healthy relationship both at the personal and professional level where interactions are open, honest, and devoid of mind control games.
Mind control keeps people in abusive relationships, holds people down in a job they should have left long ago, and forces them to remain as puppets for others. Being compassionate and patient with the people we interact with is indeed vital for sustaining our relationships. But over-compassion and too much patience are among the factors that make us doubt our intuition when it screams at us to be wary of the manipulative behaviors of others. The need to be accepted seems to overshadow the voice of our intuition.
If there is a message, I would like to reiterate it is that your reaction to peopleâs behavior is the most important factor in your interactions. In other words, when you react emotionally to a manipulator, they have achieved a part of their aim, if not all. When you are emotionally detached, rational, calm, and assertive while handling manipulative behaviors, you make the manipulator very uncomfortable and beat them at their own game.
Give yourself adequate time to let the lessons and messages in this manuscript sink in. You may not be able to break free from a controlling and manipulative partner or work colleague in one day.
