Chapter 26: Techniques and Practical Methods to Actively Analyze People
For you to understand the personality of a person, you need to examine them. You need to dig deep into their life so that you can know the kind of person you are dealing with. For you to understand how to treat them, you need to go the extra mile. You need to know how you can provoke them and whether they are hostile when they are subject to certain situations. You need to be in a position that you can tell what is happening when you look at them. The way they communicate should say to you more about them. That is the reason you should pay attention to everything that is happening in their life. When you analyze someone, you will get to know what they like and what they dislike. There are numerous ways that you need to consider that will help you to analyze a person. They include and not limited to;
How to Ask the Right Questions
When you need to ask the right question, it means that you need a clear answer from someone. You have to be discreet so that you will avoid a lot of complications. When you complicate things, you will not get the right information that you require from someone. That means that if you do not get the correct information, you will not understand them. Meaning you will not achieve your goal, which is to analyze them. Avoid rhetorical questions because that will not make you get the answer that you need. It might piss off the person, and they fail to let their guard down. Asking a rhetorical question means that you are forcing them to give you a specific answer that you need. The answer may be different from what you need to know. But because you have forced them to say that they will say it to please you. That will get you nowhere since you designed the answer you need and it may not be the real thing. When you are asking the question, make sure you do that in a friendly way. Rightly asking a query will not make the person defensive, and they will be comfortable to answer any question. When you demean a person, they will not be satisfied to give you honest feedback.
If you need to know someone better, do not try to set traps for them making them be on the spot. Ask a question without erecting a box around the person for them to be free to answer you. That is how you can know the kind of person you are dealing with. It will be appropriate to make an open-ended question so that the person you want to analyze will have the freedom to explain more about it. When you do not place bonds, you will give a person the time to respond appropriately in detail as well as nuance. Giving them a chance to make their choices will cause them to pour out their hearts to you.
