I didn’t go to Dasher’s over the weekend. I felt bad, but Lily and I were just super busy baking together. We tried out a bunch of new recipes that were too complicated to do with Dasher or Via, like banana-cinnamon rolls and orange-turkey frittata.

But at least I had made Dasher a special treat on Sunday night: Musher Mix, an assortment of chunky cereals, pretzels, M&Ms, and dried mango pieces.

I hid the bag and a copy of the recipe behind my back as I walked into class. I thought the recipe was a great one because it was so simple she could make it on her own, too.

After a little while the bell rang. But Dasher never showed up.
