General of the Winds
Diplomacy
"They're all dead, you know. Even if they survive the next fight they're only mortals," says a slender man with golden skin and cat-like facial features lying in repose on a gilded chaise. The man feasts on cheeses and fruit to pair with his crimson red wine. His eyes contain a purple sunburst iris centered around a slit pupil. He wears a long cloak made of blue velvet and a crisp white shirt, a perfect match to the elegance of the domed chamber around him.
"Oh don't be so negative, some may survive," chuckles a woman tapping her long fingers on a marble tabletop resting on top of a small cloud. Her hair is crisp and blonde with fine strands, and her face is as light as marble and glows brighter than the white dress that flows across her slender body.
"Our friend here does love them, after all. Sorry, I mean the General," she says while gesturing to a man in ornate armor sitting by the window with a pensive look on his face. The view from the window is mostly clouds, as to be expected at this altitude, yet his unwavering stare is fixed on something in particular.
"Good point, I tend to forget he is a mortal. Well, sort of anyway," says the purple cat man.

The sound of drums shakes the high-walled castle and dissipates some of the neighboring low-hanging clouds as the nomadic warriors approach. The nomads are known for intimidation techniques and drawn-out sieges, a reputation in line with the sigil on their banners and shieldsâone of their warriors bludgeoning an enemy with a massive warhammer. It will take more than fear and hammers to invade the cloud castle, but their appearance certainly causes a stir among its inhabitants.
"Oh goody, a show to accompany dinner. I do love that these mortals believe we need their help," says the cat man with a grin.
"There are too many, the weapons won't last! I know they haven't learned from the previous battles," says the General. âWe've got to help themâ"
"Enough!" Boasts a rotund bearded man at the other end of the room. "The battle has begun, take your seats or take your leave."
The General flees the room in a hurry towards the nearest staircase, so fast that he leaves a gust of wind in his wake that spills wine on the cat man's face. He's headed straight for the soldiers on the wall.
Though the castle's fortifications are thick and more than hundreds of
