The arbitration is considered one of the most important subjects in the history of the righteous Caliphs, where many writers have either lost their way or stumbled, mythologizing it in their writings. They depended upon weak and fabricated narrations which defames the noble Companions, especially Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari (May Allah be pleased with him) whom they described as being weak minded, deceived in speech, and carelessly inattentive; all of which is exactly how Amr Bin Al-’Aas (May Allah be pleased with him) managed to swindle him in the case of arbitration. They describe Amr Bin Al-’Aas (May Allah be pleased with him) as being a swindler and conniver. The prejudiced, malevolent and rancorous people attempted to attach these malignant characteristics to these two great men who were chosen by the Muslims to solve the great disagreement that had resulted in the death of many Muslims.
