WOMEN MAKING FACES: THE CHANDLER CENTER FOR THE ARTS PROJECT

Arizona’s Chandler Center for the Arts recently hosted and curated this project, selecting a number of female artists whose task was to paint women who have had a notable impact on the State of Arizona. This project, although inspired by the rapidly growing Women Painting Women movement, was made original through its focus on recognizing its Arizona women subjects and limiting participation to artists who were Arizona residents. On the following pages, and on page 82, are paintings I contributed to the project.
