I texted Blake to see where he was at, and as luck would have it, he was in his office.

"Do me a favor, please. Lift my restrictions so that I can teleport three plus Tempest into your office. I only need to do it for this one time."

Originally, Blake was the only person who'd been able to teleport on the resort at all, including coming on or teleporting off of the resort, but over the years, he'd also granted me some of the privileges. Mine were more limited, though, because I could only go as far as Margo on the property. I couldn’t teleport on or off the property, and to enter into the main building, I had to walk in just like everybody else did. Tempest, on the other hand, could go anywhere she wanted to. For some reason, Blake felt that she needed access. It was a good thing, too, because we'd used that on numerous occasions in emergency situations.

"Why?" he asked. "Not that I mind doing it."

I sighed as I examined Mark, who was still sitting in the chair bound by my magic. "It'll be easier to explain once we're there. Trust me, it's not a good idea for me to walk through the building right now."

His voice rose in pitch. "Are you okay? You're not covered in blood or anything are you?"

I laughed. "No, but it's weird that your mind went there. Let me know when the security is down, and we'll teleport right in."

"It's done. You can come as soon as you're ready."

"Then I'll see you in a few seconds." I hung up the phone, then motioned to Colin and Tempest to gather around Mark. Colin took my hand, Tempest jumped on my shoulder, and I laid my hand on Mark's arm. Five seconds later, we were inside Blake's office.

Before I took my hand off Mark's arm, I realized he was shaking. I glanced at his face, and his eyes were round with terror.

"What just happened? How did you do that? Where are we? I thought you were a shifter like us.” He motioned toward Colin.

"Nope," I said, popping the P. "I'm a witch, and I teleported us here. This is Blake, and he is the administrator of the resort. We're in his office. And now you're going to tell your story to him."

Blake sat behind his desk, his fingers steepled in front of him as he watched us. His gaze shifted to me. "Maybe it would be best if you told the story."

Tempest jumped off my arm and onto his desk. "There's not really much to tell. Destiny had a gut feeling that we needed to walk the beach down by the cottages. We walked past the one where the king and queen are staying and farther down to the next one. This guy was squatting there, and we captured him."

She stopped speaking and licked her paw as if that was all there was to the story.

"I'm gonna need a little more than that," Blake said, rubbing his chin.
