As we were putting out the fire and cleaning up the yard, Zell was sitting to the side still describing the taste and texture of a s’more to Mollie. She’d never had one before, so apparently, she couldn’t conjure one up.

“I just don’t get it,” she said, shaking her head. “I think I’ll switch to my granny’s apple pie.” She closed her eyes. “Ahh. I can smell it as if it was right here in front of me. Those sticky, gooey apples were tart but sweet, and bursting with flavor. She picked those apples herself, you see, right off her own trees. She’d mix them up with sugar and cinnamon. Then she’d wrap them in a pastry that melted in your mouth. We’d eat real slow, to make it last. Every bite was sweet and delicious and—”

Mollie shrieked with excitement. Everyone turned to look at her. She was holding a ghostly metal plate in her hand, and on the plate was a nice, big slice of her granny’s apple pie.
