After breakfast and a morning romp in the shower, Neji and I leave his apartment to go to the police station. I had to borrow some sweats and a t-shirt from him so I wouldnât have to put my costume back on. Weâll be stopping by the warehouse to get me some clothes later because Iâll be staying with Neji over the restaurant until we can both get our places packed up and moved into the house I had built. I know we donât technically have to move into the house right away, but Iâd like to in case Neji did get me pregnant last night. Never thought Iâd be saying that. Itâs so damn surreal.
While the warehouse does have enough space for us, itâs not exactly the best place to raise a child since it doesnât have a yard for the little one to play in. Iâm excited at the prospect of becoming a father and I canât wait to go wild decorating the babyâs room. My inner shopaholic is literally salivating at the thought of buying so many cute things for our baby. Calm down man, donât go counting your chickens before they hatch. Neji is going to arrange to take the week off from the restaurant so we can spend time wrapped up in each other and get moved before we both have to get back to our day jobs.
Meeting Neji and the possibility of us starting a family soon makes me glad I decided to step back from my company. If I were still doing everything, Iâd never have time for Neji or our child and thatâs not a life I want to live. I thought about selling my stake in the company to Zen, but I didnât want to cut ties with the business completely. Maybe I should take a break from developing for a while after I finish this project. Being a stay at home dad has such a nice ring to it.
âYou okay, koibito?â
Nejiâs voice pulls me from my inner musings and I grin at him. âIâm fine, querido. Just thinking.â
Neji raises an eyebrow. âOh? What about?â
âBeing a stay at home dad instead of focusing on developing new security systems. I can still work on them when I have a free moment, but they wonât be a typical nine to five job every day.â
Neji takes my hand and links our fingers together then brings them up so he can kiss the back of my hand. âWhatever you decide, Iâll support it. The decision is yours.â
âI think thatâs what I want to do. Once I figure out the logistics of how itâll work since I originally stepped back from the business side of the company to focus more on developing.â
âWell, youâll still be focusing on developing new products just not at the same capacity or speed you were. Say for example, right now at your current production rate youâll have a new product ready by the end of the year but with your new speed it could be two years or more before you have something new.
