3.7 Creating an e-mail campaign

Creating an e-mail campaign is a very challenging task. It all starts with proper planning, exercise, and execution. The basic steps for conducting an e-mail campaign in a strategic manner will help you in achieving your goal. So the general steps that are a part of the e-mail campaign which have to be followed before you hit the “send” button are as follows:

Identify the need for an e-mail.

The initial step is to fetch the details regarding the need or requirement. Once that is gathered and understood, then only you can proceed to the next step.

Document the campaign’s requirements.

Proper documentation includes the source of information, its applicability, and its implementation which is then to be discussed and further formulated.

Draft e-mail copy and find artwork.
