Step 2

Start by painting the bill of the duck with Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue. Fill in the whole bill other than the tip. While the yellow paint you just added is still wet, add Burnt Sienna for the details on the bill. Last, after the first layer is fully dry, paint in a nostril and the tip of the bill with Payne’s Gray using a small round brush.

Next, paint the eye of the duck. Start by filling in the eye with Raw Umber paint. After the Raw Umber paint is dry, outline the eye with a saturated amount of Payne’s Gray and paint the pupil with Payne’s Gray as well.
