Part-Time Work: By working part-time in the new career area, you can “learn by doing” in a way that will not force you to give up your current position. This is not always appropriate or applicable, but if it is in your case, you may want to pursue it. It gets you hands-on experience, which, by the way, you might be able to parlay into full-time employment.
