CUTTING

Diamonds and Triangles

In keeping with the creative spirit of this design, the instructions call for a generous amount of cut pieces. Place, rearrange, and move these pieces around on a design wall until your desired effect is achieved. If needed, more pieces can be cut.

• Cut 2 strips 2¾˝ × width of fabric from each of the 7 fabrics.

From each pair of fabric strips, subcut the following: 15 diamonds 2¾˝, according to the instructions in Cut Diamonds and 5 triangles 3˝ high, according to the instructions in Cut Triangles. (Note: These triangles will have their top tip missing because the strip is ¼˝ narrower than usual. This is fine because the difference is hidden in the seam allowance.)
