“Oh God,” I say before I even unlock my phone. I wash my hands and barely dry them before swiping the screen and opening his message.

I’m going to fucking kill Topher Brooks. I can’t deal with him anymore. Come over. Now.

I hold the phone up to show Reed the message. He tells me to go. I don’t stop for my keys or even bother with my car. I run to the back patio, slip outside, and dash down the beach to Colby’s house.
