“Please, dear, don’t be so angry,” Janet pleaded but as soon as the words left her mouth, she realized it had been the wrong thing to say. She had never seen her husband so furious and she realized that the best thing she could do was to remain quiet until he had vented his rage. Then, hopefully, he would forgive her.
