Seven Ways to Use Video in Your Posts

1. Post a YouTube clip featuring a song that is part of this coming Sunday’s worship set. People love to discover new music. And they love feeling like they’ve been given some ”insider information” regarding the upcoming service. Give it to them!

2. Do a quick ”behind the scenes” tour of the youth pas- tor’s office. Have your children’s pastor do a quick highlight of a new resource that would be of benefit to parents. Snippets from the church office or staff members are of high value. People want to see and know real people.

3. Share a short video of one of the staff pastors sharing a quick word of encouragement from Scripture.

4. Share a video of one of the pastors asking for prayer requests in the comments. Don’t make this long and drawn out. Keep it short.

5. Conduct a Facebook live Q & A. Share from Scripture and have people comment with any questions or thoughts they may have. This is a great way to increase interaction among people who may not normally be inclined to do so.

6. Broadcast your service via Facebook Live (be sure your CCLI license includes streaming rights). Remember the saying “perfect always becomes the enemy of the good” when it comes to live streaming. Use whatever equipment you have. Start with a phone and tripod.

7. Communicate the story of your church often. Testimonies of others are excellent ways to share Jesus in online spaces.
