When the bark has gone off, carve the notch you created earlier to get deeper into the stick. For the best of results, carve deep and make sure that you extend the notch to get to the center of the stick. This hole should be at least 1/2 to 1 inch wide when you are done carving and cleaning it out. Also, create a flat plane in front of the hole you just burrowed. This is what the whistle should look like at this point.

Cover the whistle once again with the bark you took off at first. This is why you have to pay attention to the way you handle the bark of the wood. You are going to slip it in once again. Hence, you need to make sure that you handle it with extreme care. Your whistle is done. To blow it, all you need to do is blow into the part of the bark you just replaced in the last step and it should be working as well as it should.
